A great Holy saint with his spiritual powers can predict the future. Sometimes such an action is taken by the Holy saints to increase the individual’s belief in the Almighty. But there are certain individuals who are unable to understand this blessing and interpret the whole incident in a negative way.
Once a lot many devotees had collected at Nirmal Kutiya Johalan. Sant ji Maharaj instructed for the singing of the Holy Kirtan. After some time he ordered, “Everyone should shift to the Darbar hall. The sangat should listen to the singing by sitting inside the hall. There are foreign souls wandering outside and everyone should remain indoors.”
This was a divine order and it was to be obeyed. There were some persons who did not understand the depth involved in the words. The basic requirement to understand the words is to be humble and agree to whatever is uttered by Sant Baba ji. Sant Baba ji often said, “Modesty is a must to gain something when you consider yourself as one of the sangat. A disciplined life should be spent by leading a simple life and wearing simple clothes whenever you come to a religious place.”
Everyone kowtows and touches the forehead to the ground while paying obeisance to Sri Guru Granth Sahib. If one is wearing gaudy/shining colored clothes, then the mind of the person who is paying obeisance to Sri Guru Granth Sahib is on his clothes and does not bow before the Holy Book. He remains full of ego and his bowing before the Holy Book has no meaning because he or she wants to get noticed by the sangat and appreciated.
One lady was luridly dressed up with lot of ornaments. On that eventful day this lady did not pay heed to the instructions of Sant Baba ji and came out of the Darbar Hall. Seeing her come out, some other individuals also came out of the hall.
The moment they came out a group of honeybees attacked them. The lady ran for shelter but she was completely covered by the bees. She started screaming. Other individuals were also stung but most of the bees spared them.
The lady was stung at all places on her body. She regretted not obeying the orders of Sant Baba ji. She prayed that she be saved from the poisonous bees. She promised that she would remain disciplined in obeying the orders of Sant Baba ji and wear simple clothes as per the rules of Nirmal Kutiya Johalan.
Her prayers had an immediate effect. The bees flew away. As per the orders of Sant Baba ji she was served pure ghee with black pepper to neutralize the poison of the bees. The others who had been stung were also served this concoction. The poison from the bees did not have any effect on these individuals.
This incident left a great impression on the sangat.
Sant Baba ji’s words contained a message as well as an order for obeying. The message in the order could only be understood only by the humble and modest. Sant Baba ji emphasized on concentrating on the singing of the Holy Hymns and that this should be done through passing a simple life. The concentration would relieve one from pride and lead one to be attached to the Almighty.
The company of the Holy is the only path to tread to lead a truthful life. Great Holy saints like Sant Baba ji can show this path.
