The True Lord through His grace sends saints, sadhus and Braham Gianis to this world for the welfare and upliftment of the people. They of course show their philanthropic side but in addition they also impart spirituality and teach people to follow the true path.
Those generous, humble beings are above both birth and death.
They give the gift of the soul, and practice devotional worship;
they inspire others to meet the Lord. ||2|| (Page 749)
Ever since the beginning the Saints and great souls have been part of every society. While being part of the society, they are really detached from it. The fire of ‘Maya’ a rage in this world touches them not. Their lives are pure, clean and chaste and their minds are free from taint.
Kabeer, my mind has become immaculate, like the waters of the Ganges.
The Lord follows after me, calling, "Kabeer! Kabeer!"||55||(Page 1367)
Even the Lord Himself heeds them. But the status of the Sant is attainable only to him who can detach himself totally and immerses himself in reciting the Lord’s Name.
Now, I have mounted to the throne of the Lord; I have met the Lord, the Sustainer of the World.
The Lord and Kabeer have become one. No one can tell them apart. ||6||3|| (Page 969)
Because the saint has acquired the qualities of the Lord Himself no gap remains between his works and the Lord’s.
He alone is a Saint, who is pleasing to the Lord.
The Saints, and God, have only one job to do. ||1||Pause|| (Page 867)
They pass their sojourn on this earth like the Lotus. If the water is polluted or more water floods in, the water level rises automatically. As the water level rises the Lotus flower also floats higher. No matter how high the water rises it cannot swamp the Lotus. Similarly do saints shine bright and are radiant. They are always untouched by the evils of denigration, back biting and the various forms in which Maya attacks mankind. It becomes their sole aim in life to think of the welfare of the mankind, helping them avoid getting derailed from the right path, convincing men that God exists and teaching them the Guru’s way to make a success of their existence. They think of the suffering of others, find solutions for the same, but never bother about their own troubles.
That man, who in the midst of pain, does not feel pain, who is not affected by pleasure, affection or fear, and who looks alike upon gold and dust;||1||Pause||

The saint never gives trouble rather does he alleviate the troubles of others. It becomes part of his personality to be concerned about society. In the midst of society in this world, they live, yet do not run after the pleasures of the world. They try to make aware the pleasure seekers that only by giving up can true peace be found.
Between the Lord and His Saint, there is no difference at all. Among hundreds of thousands and millions, there is scarcely one humble being.
Those whose hearts are illuminated by God, sing the Kirtan of His Praises night and day with their tongues. ||3||(Page 208)
The very sight of these one in a million will bring fulfillment to ones life. Those are fortunate indeed who get the chance to touch the feet of such a one. That land is blessed where such a one establishes his seat. After such great ones leave us, the fragrance of the land where they lived can easily give us an idea of how radiant was the personality who had graced it.
Such a great soul was Sriman 108 Braham Giani Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj of Nirmal Kutiya Johalan. This ascetic changed innumerous lives and showed people the right path.
