Nirmal Kutiya Johalan

THE GLORY OF A COMPLETE GURU

The nature of water is such that it flows downwards. Anything on the way is taken along with it. Wood does not sink in it, while iron gets easily submerged. In case the iron is fixed on the wood, then this iron also floats with the wood and does not sink in water.

Brigadier Jaswant Singh, posted in Jalandhar Cantt was a devotee of Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj. He was instrumental in the service of constructing an approach road to the Kutiya. He came to Nirmal Kutiya Johalan sometimes in his official car/jeep and sometimes in his private vehicle. His office had provided him with a driver. The driver was from the state of Rajasthan. The driver remained near the car, attending to it while his senior boss went inside the Kutiya.

The driver observed his senior officer going inside the Kutiya to pay homage to Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj. He had also observed him several times folding his pants and involving himself in the SEWA. The environment and the surroundings naturally had an impact on the driver.

One day, the driver came to Nirmal Kutiya Johalan, in his civilian clothes. It was a holiday in the office. He bowed his head in reverence to Sant Baba ji from quite a distance and then sat down at the place where he was standing. He had covered his head with a handkerchief. Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj knew about everything and called him to come closer. He could not speak Punjabi. When asked he informed that he worked in the Army and was a driver of Brigadier Jaswant Singh.

Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj asked him politely, “What brings you here?”

The driver replied, “I have come for your DARSHAN and blessings.”

An attendant standing nearby was asked by Sant Baba ji to take the driver and serve him milk and snacks. While he was eating, the driver asked the attendant, “I want to ask for something from Sant ji Maharaj. Will he give me?”

The attendant replied, “What is it that you need?”

The driver replied, “That I will only ask from Sant ji Maharaj.”

The attendant advised him to touch the feet of Sant Baba ji and then make the request.

The driver came near Sant Baba ji. He touched the feet of Sant Baba ji and said, “Maharaj ji! I have been married for a long time now but I do not have any issue. Please bless me.”

Sant Baba ji smiled and asked the driver to sit on the mat. Sant Baba ji then instructed the attendant to fetch two apples from the kitchen.

The attendant brought two apples to Sant Baba ji who looked at the apples with his graceful Holy eyes. Sant Baba ji asked the attendant to give the Parshad of apples to the driver.

The driver accepted the two apples. He was very happy that Sant ji Maharaj had heard his request and blessed him with the Parshad.

After some time the driver was blessed with a son. He had not told his senior about his going to Nirmal Kutiya Johalan and seeking the blessings of Sant Baba ji in this regard. He now informed Brigadier Sahib about the incident and expressed his thanks to the kind Sant ji Maharaj. The head of Brigadier Sahib bowed in reverence.

This episode increased the conviction of Brigadier Sahib about the greatness of Sant Baba ji and about the high spiritual level attained by this Holy saint.
