Bhai Ralla Singh, Bhai Rakha Singh, Bhai Mangal Singh and Bhai Gurdas Singh belonged to village Poobowal Pallian (above the town of Jaijon in the mountains). The four formed a group of musicians. They sung the Holy Hymns and read out Guru’s praises in melodious voices using dhadh (Hand drum) and sarangi (a bowed string instrument). The chieftain of the group was Bhai Ralla Singh Safri.
They visited Nirmal Kutiya Johalan to have DARSHAN of Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj after walking a long distance. They had full faith in the spiritual level of Sant Baba ji and understood the high stature of Holiness gained by Sant Baba ji.
Once, Bhai Ralla Singh requested Sant Baba ji, “Maharaj ji! I am going to die empty handed in this world. Please bless me with a son.”
The respected Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj advised Bhai ji, “Bhai Ralla Singh! You sing praises of the Lord Almighty. You should pray before Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji and Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib and the living light of the ten Masters Sri Guru Granth Sahib for this blessing. The true Lord always listens to the prayers of those who recite Gurbani.”
Bhai ji did as was advised. After a year, Bhai ji was blessed with a son. He came to Nirmal Kutiya Johalan with his family to thank Sant Baba ji for his generosity. All of them received happiness of Sant Baba ji when they touched the Holy feet of Sant Baba ji.
The son of Bhai Ralla Singh works as a Patwari (A village official who maintains revenue records).
Giani Arjan Singh of Dakoha performed Kirtan at Nirmal Kutiya Johalan. His group comprised of his father Sardar Nand Singh and uncle Sardar Nihal Singh. The group accompanied Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj during his travels to various places.
Though Sardar Arjan Singh is quite old now yet his family enjoys the fold of Nirmal Kutiya Johalan. The family is baptized and his sons perform Kirtan at the Kutiya.
