THE FORMS OF THE ALMIGHTY ARE ENDLESS

The Gods, yearning for the Blessed Vision of the Lord’s Darshan, suffered through
pain and hunger at the sacred shrines. The yogis and the celibates live their
disciplined lifestyle, while others wear saffron robes and become hermits. ||1||
For Your sake, O Lord Master, they are imbued with love. Your Names are so
many, and Your Forms are endless. No one can tell how may Glorious Virtues
You have. ||1||Pause|| (Page 358)

Great Holy saints reach the level of divinity where then they can listen to the mystical sounds within them. They celebrate and enjoy the transcendental bliss and enjoyment of the mind. Those who attain this stage also get the power and strength to demonstrate and provide the essence of the same to any of their selected beloved devotee.

Bau Nirmal Singh was from village Hansron. He was a very close associate of Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj. Selfless service of Bau ji earned him the title of Head Granthi (Priest). He was incharge of conducting the Akhand Paths at Nirmal Kutiya Johalan. Bau ji had never recited Bani in his mind. Night or day, the recitation of Bani was through his melodious voice. Sant Baba ji had instructed Bau ji, “Bau ji! Path should be recited through speech. There are two gains from this action. One the tongue recites and the second the ears listen to the spoken words.”

Bau ji obeyed these instructions of Sant Baba ji throughout his life. He performed the duties of the Head Priest with full responsibility guiding his juniors to remain within the discipline prescribed by Sant Baba ji

Bau ji though married yet did not have any issue. He never cared about this vacuum in his life. Sant Baba ji had once said to him, “Bau ji! We have taken you out of this world. You have nothing to worry about.”

Bau ji remained a happy man. His face was always cheerful.

Once, Bau ji was spending his night at Nirmal Kutiya Johalan. Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj was walking that night with a stick in his hand. Sant Baba ji continued with his walk in the Kutiya, for quite some time. He then called Bau ji by his name. The sleeping Bau ji heard his name and felt that it was a call from heaven. He got up and presented himself before Sant Baba ji. He touched the feet of Sant Baba ji and announced his presence.

Bau ji observed that a mysterious light had spread all along the Kutiya. This light was so bright that the full moon’s night had no comparison to it. The environment was full of sweet fragrance. Bau ji was intoxicated with this strange sight and smell.

He asked Sant Baba ji, “Patshah! What does this fragrance and light in the Kutiya signify?”

Sant Baba ji smilingly replied, “Bau ji! Secret Holy Deities have come to the earth from the heaven. This view is because of their benign presence.”

Bau ji was awestruck. He fell at the feet of Sant Baba ji. Sant Baba ji said to him, “Bau ji! It is your selfless love that you are able to see this divine phenomenon.”

Bau ji kept his head bowed in thanks and reverence for Sant Baba ji.

It is necessary to mention here that many a times Sant Baba ji gave the instructions for spreading a white sheet on the raised platform in front of the Darbar Hall. He gave instructions to the Kirtani Jatha (Musicians singing Holy Hymns) to perform Kirtan while sitting at a lower place than the platform. Sant Baba ji also sat at a lower place.

When someone asked Sant Baba ji about the spreading of the white sheet, Sant Baba ji said, “The Holy deities are here to listen to the singing of the Holy Hymns.”

Such divine words of Sant Baba ji pleased the sangat.

One-day Bau ji was sitting close to Sant Baba ji. Sant Baba ji recited the following verse of the Third Master Sri Guru Amardass Sahib from Sri Guru Granth Sahib:

ਏ ਸਰੀਰਾ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਇਸੁ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਆਇ ਕੈ ਕਿਆ ਤੁਧੁ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਇਆ || (ਪੰਨਾ ੯੨੨)

O my body, why have you come into this world?
What actions have you committed? (Page 922)

He then addressed Bau ji, “Bau ji! The time has come for me to leave this world.”

Bau ji’s heart was pierced with these words. He humbly submitted, “Patshah! If you say such things, what will happen to persons like me?”

Sant Baba ji replied, “Bau ji! I will remain here. Don’t worry; I will not go anywhere. You will see the prosperity of Nirmal Kutiya Johalan.”

Bau ji shared these words of Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj with the sangat during the times of Sant Baba Gian Singh ji. He inspired the sangat again and again to accept the ambrosial nectar of the two edged sword and enjoy the Holy grace of Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj.
