Bhai Prem Singh of village Naushehra was a devotee of Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj. He was from a poor family. But he recited Gurbani as much as he could. When Sant Baba ji came to his village for collecting food as alms, Prem Singh used to lovingly serve Sant Baba ji with Parshada.
He once thought of getting the Holy Book of Sri Guru Granth Sahib for his residence, but he did not have enough money for it. Sitting at home he prayed at the feet of Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj, “Please bless me with just twenty one rupees so that I am able to get the Holy Book of Sri Guru Granth Sahib for my residence.”
It so happened that another devotee had had his work accomplished with the blessings of Sant Baba ji. He came to thank and pay his homage to Sant Baba ji at his abode. He placed twenty-one rupees in front of Sant Baba ji and bowed his head on the ground.
Sant Baba ji said to him, “These pieces of paper are of no use to us. Please collect them and take them away from here.”
The devotee picked up the money and before leaving kept it under a brick nearby.
Later that day Bhai Prem Singh came to the abode of Sant Baba ji to pay his homage. Sant Baba ji said to Prem Singh, “What were you praying while walking to this place?”
Bhai Prem Singh said, “Maharaj ji! I want to get the Holy Book of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. I do not have enough money to get the Holy Book. Please bless me.”
Sant Baba ji pointed at the brick and asked him to see what was there under it. Bhai Prem Singh went to the brick and found the money. Sant Baba ji said to him, “Prem Singh! Go to Sri Amritsar Sahib and get the Holy Book.”
Bhai Prem Singh became emotional and his heart filled with tears. As instructed he went to Sri Amritsar with five Sikhs and brought Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
He came to thank Sant Baba ji who advised him, “Prem Singh! Recite Gurbani with love. You should ceremoniously open the Holy Book everyday and read the HUKAMNAMA. You should keep on undertaking SEHAJ PATH.”
What glorious greatness of Yours can I describe, O Lord of infinite excellences?

Bhai Prem Singh followed the instructions of Sant Baba ji. His entire family is baptized and regularly visits Nirmal Kutiya Johalan.
