During his tour to Caimbalpur, Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj visited the historical place ‘Panja Sahib’. A historical Gurdwara exists at Panja Sahib where the mark of the hand of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji is to be found.
After coming back to Caimbalpur, it was time now to return to his abode in Jalandhar. On the day when Sant Baba ji was to take a train back to Jalandhar, the Sikh culprit who had been released from the jail, and had now become a Satsangi of Sant Baba ji, also came to the railway station to pay his respects.
Sant Baba ji was taken to the coach and made to sit respectfully. The Satsangi observed that there were other passengers crowding the coach. Standing up fearlessly, he politely requested the passengers, “You all are really lucky that you are travelling in the same train in which a spiritual personality is travelling. You will all receive his blessings. It will be wise, if you vacate this compartment and permit Sant Baba ji to travel comfortably. You can find accomodation in other compartments. Let this coach be kept free for Sant Baba ji and his followers.”
The request was full of humility and therefore had to be complied with. After the other passengers took their belongings and left the coach, the Satsangi stood at the gate of the coach to guard it. He only permitted the devotees to come inside and leave immediately after paying their homage. The Satsangi travelled in the train, performing his duty, till the Lahore Railway Station. Here he took leave of Sant Baba ji and alighted from the train, shouting the Sikh slogans.
