HOLY PLACES OF WORSHIP

Meditate on the Name, worship the Name, and through the Name,
you shall be absorbed in intuitive peace and poise. ||1||(Page 26)

Emancipation comes only by loving devotional worship. The Supreme Soul has to be worshipped with intuitive peace and poise. The Divine can be worshipped at any place. It is however necessary to keep the mind away from worldly pleasures. Therefore the best places for meditation on the Lord are the natural and beautiful surroundings. A true saint can easily blend into the creation of the Creator.

Sant Baba Harnam Singh ji Maharaj practiced disciplined meditation and chanted the Name of the Lord endlessly. He did this in his hut. At times he walked towards the jungle in delight. He had got constructed a platform under a Tahli tree. He came and sat on the platform and performed his worship. It was a very peaceful place. Sant Baba ji called this place the Tahli Sahib.

There was another place, about one and a half kilometer away from the hut. This place was near a seasonal rivulet. Here there was a mango tree under the shade of which a platform existed. Sant Baba ji used to come here also for his meditation. It was in the middle of such scenic beauty that Sant Baba ji felt most liberated and closest to the Divine.

He opens the doors deep within, and through the Eyes of Divine Vision,
beholds the treasure of liberation. (Page 425)

Sant Baba ji called this place as Sach Khand.

A third place used frequently by Sant Baba ji was towards the west of the hut. A seasonal rivulet of pure water flowed nearby. This place was named as Akal Takht by Sant Baba ji. At all these three places he spent many blissful hours immersing himself in gaining spiritual wisdom.
