Nirmal Kutiya Johalan

A FOLLOWER IS BLESSED

Sardar Ujjagar Singh of village Johal was an experienced mason. He was a devotee of Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj. During the construction of various buildings of Nirmal Kutiya Johalan, Sardar Ujjagar Singh sometimes remained in the SEWA for four months at a stretch. He performed SEWA without any sort of return.

A person with a family to look after has plenty of responsibilities and needs money to run the household activities. Sardar Ujjagar Singh never thought of money. He always considered that the Holy eyes of Sant Baba ji on him were enough to grace him and his family. He knew these eyes would automatically take care of all his financial needs. The entire family was blessed by Sant Baba ji and it enjoyed all the happiness.

His son Subedar Chanan Singh was in the Army. He had once come on leave to his village.

At the end of the leave period, both father and son were sitting together. The son said, “I did not imagine that my leave would be over so soon. It seems to have happened very fast.”

The father replied, “Yes son! Normally all good moments end soon. But you should thank the Almighty that the time passed happily.”

The son replied, “That is all very right. But the heart thirsts for more holidays.”

Sardar Ujjagar Singh suggested, “Only these holidays are over. Next year you will again come for your annual leave. You should stop worrying and instead go to Nirmal Kutiya Johalan and pay homage to Sant Baba Basant Singh ji Maharaj. Please take his permission to go back to join your service. He will remain present with you all the times.”

The son replied, “I will certainly go to the Kutiya today.”

Subedar Chanan Singh reached Nirmal Kutiya Johalan and paid his homage to Sant Baba ji.

Sant Baba ji asked him, “Subedar ji! Now what has to be done?”

Subedar replied, “Maharaj ji! My leave is coming to an end. Please permit me to go back and join my duties. Please bless me by remaining besides me all the time.”

Sant Baba ji did not respond and instead asked Sant Baba Gian Singh ji, “Santa! There is very little time. Subedar ji be given PARSHAD of an apple.” Sant Baba ji again repeated, “There are only five minutes. Please hurry up.”

Subedar ji could not understand about the urgency, but did not enquire about anything.

When he received the apple as PARSHAD, Sant Baba ji said to him, “Subedar ji! Please eat the PARSHAD.” Sant Baba ji insisted, “Eat it yourself.”

Subedar ji followed the orders of Sant Baba ji. At the end of his leave he left to join his duty. Subedar ji was blessed with a son. Subedar ji was very happy. He knew that the son was a blessing of Sant Baba ji. He informed everyone about the incident, “This happiness has been there because of the PARSHAD of Sant Baba ji. I am grateful to him for the blessings.”

He requested Sant Baba ji to name the son. This prayer of Subedar ji was also answered. The son was named Ranjit Singh. Subedar ji is now retired and comes daily to Nirmal Kutiya Johalan and involves in the selfless service.
